Position Description

🔧 Basic Function:
Design metal stamping dies, tools, gauges, and assembly equipment that meet internal cost targets and customer expectations.

🔥 Key Responsibilities

• Develop end strip layouts for estimating & team review

• Collaborate on efficient metal forming processes

• Optimize die performance using forming analysis software

• Identify cost-saving design efficiencies

🛠 Principal Duties

• Design dies, tools, fixtures & gages for efficient production

• Create end strip layouts for quoting and die design

• Lead design reviews to communicate concerns & solutions

• Participate in Pre-Build Meetings for process optimization

• Assist toolmakers with machining complex die components

• Quote purchased components for complete designs

🎓 Education & Experience

• Skills: Advanced math, computer proficiency, technical drawing interpretation, strong communication

• Required: High school diploma (or equivalent), Tool & Die Maker Journeyman card, and 2+ years die design experience
