Position Description

Basic Function:

Responsible for overseeing the Quality Management System and day-to-day operations of the Quality Department while providing strategic leadership as a member of the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

📋 Develop and maintain control plans
💰 Identify and achieve $45,000 in annual cost reductions
📏 Manage gage calibration
🔍 Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and subcontracted parts
📝 Conduct internal Quality Management System audits
✅ Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System
🎯 Meet annual corporate PPM goals
📄 Create, modify, and submit PPAPs
📊 Ensure Quality Management System compliance with ISO 9001 standards
🤝 Monitor and report supplier quality and on-time delivery performance

Principle Duties:

📋 Coordinate annual internal and external ISO audits
📅 Conduct biweekly L10 meetings for the Quality Department
🤝 Manage customer audits and 8D requests
👥 Manage PTO requests for Quality Department staff
📦 Provide customers with RMAs
📊 Provide quality and performance data to leadership and management
📅 Conduct quarterly 555 meetings with staff
🔍 Review daily quality check sheet data
🛑 Stop production or customer shipments when parts do not meet print specifications

Education & Experience:

🧠 Skills: Proficient in GD&T and standard measuring equipment, including micrometers, optical comparators, and dial indicators
🎓 Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
🛠️ Experience: 3–5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment
