Position Description

Basic Function:

  • Responsible for managing and assembling tooling projects, ensuring components meet specifications and deadlines. ⚙️

Key Responsibilities:

  • 🤝 Participate in Pre-Build meetings to plan efficient manufacturing processes
  • 🧩 Assemble tooling and verify machined components meet specifications
  • ⚙️ Machine components using standard processes to required tolerances
  • 📦 Manage assigned tooling projects to meet customer quality and delivery expectations


Principle Duties:

  • 🔧 Assemble components into completed tooling
  • 🛠️ Set up and operate tools to manufacture components
  • 👨‍🏫 Train and mentor apprentices

Education & Experience:

  • 🧠 Skills: Advanced math, basic computer skills, ability to read technical drawings, strong communication
  • 🎓 Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a state-indentured Tool & Die apprenticeship OR 6+ years as a non-indentured Tool & Die Maker
  • 🛠️ Experience: 3–5 years building progressive tooling (metal stamping preferred)
  • 📜 Certification: Journeyman Card in Tool & Die
